"Do You Know" Poem written by my friend Pauline

Do you know...

There is no time to give up...

Only  courage to keep going on...

Hope for better tomorrows...

Do you know...

When it's time to move on...

Listen to your heart, it knows...

It will never fail you.

Do you know...

How to tell when somethings over...

When the special thread is broken...

And you feel such emptiness...

Do you know when wonderful things are coming...

It's when your heart starts to sing...

And you keep smiling...

Do you know that some will lie to get their way...

Don't let them crush your spirit...

Just forgive and look away...

Do you know...

when you feel so much despair...

Angels are there

To lift you up, when you think nobody cares...

Do you know...

 When you think your  cross...

Feels too heavy to carry...

God sends help to ease the weight...

Do you know...

 That real love never dies...

It follows you...

 far after life into eternity...

Do you know...

You were born to be happy...

And its never too far away...

Just reach out and it's yours to keep.

Unconditional Love

 Unconditional Love

A treasure to be cherished,

A gift from God above;

is the beauty of a friendship,

Touched by unconditional Love.

A Love that asks no questions,

Believes in all the best;

Never doubting, ever trusting,

Withstanding any test.

A Love that weathers any storm,

And yet that love still stands;

Through the very darkest hour.

It still reaches out a hand.

There in that hand the sweetest gift,

That you can give a friend;

A heart that cares, a Love that shares,

That will be there till the end.

A treasure to be cherished,

A gift from God above;

Is what I share with you my friend,

An unconditional Love.

The Clock Of Life

The clock of life is wound but once,
And no man has the power
To tell just when the hands will stop
At late or early hour.

To lose one's wealth is sad indeed,
To lose one's health is more,
To lose one's soul is such a loss
That no man can restore.

The present only is our own,
So Live, Love, toil with a will --
Place no faith in 'Tomorrow' --
For the clock may then be still.

"People never know how special someone is until they leave,

but maybe sometimes its important to leave,

so they are given that chance to see how special that someone really is!"

I tried to change the background on this entry to brighten it up

and in the process, lost of the wonderful comments you left yesterday.

I'm so sorry about that. I'll post another entry soon.

I'm on a borrowed pc for now but I'll try and get on whenever I can.

Love Carol

A Strong Woman

A Strong Woman is...

one who feels deeply

and loves fiercely,

Her tears flow

just as abundantly

as her laughter.

A Strong Woman...

is both soft and powerful.

She is both

practical and spiritual.

A Strong Woman is...

in her essence

is a gift to all the world.

AGES OF A WOMAN

Age 8:

Looks at herself and sees:

Cinderella/Sleeping Beauty

Age 15:

Looks at herself and sees:

Cinderella/Sleeping Beauty/Cheerleader,

or if she's PMS'ing sees: Pimples/UGLY  ("Mom,

Age 20:

Looks at herself and sees:

"too fat/too thin, too short/too tall,

too straight/too curly - but decides she's going out anyway.

Age 30:

Looks at herself and sees:

"too fat/too thin, too short/too tall,

too straight/too curly" - but decides she

doesn't have time to fix it so she's going out anyway.

Age 40:

Looks at herself and sees:

"too fat/too thin, too short/too tall,

too straight/too curly" - but says,

"At least I'm clean" and goes out anyway.

Age 50:

Looks at herself and says:

I am" - and goes wherever she wants to.

Age 60:

Looks at herself

and reminds herself of all the people

who can't even see themselves in the mirror

anymore....goes out and conquers the world.

Age 70:

Looks at herself and sees:

wisdom, laughter and ability - goes out

and enjoys life.

Age 80:

Doesn't bother to look.

Just puts on a red hat and goes out to

participate in the world.

Age 90:

Can't see and doesn't worry about it!
